Current Champion
Titán recaptured the championship on December 1, 2013 in Arena Mexico by defeating Averno.
History of Championship
Jack O'Brien, Ciclon Veloz and Chato Cabral made claims on this championship in 1940, when it was in limbo after Bobby Arreola gave it up due to injury in 1939. Their reigns were considered non official, with the next official champion in 1941. (SuperLuchas

- ↑ Lucha Libre 27 - previously listed as beating Black Shadow in the final and Dorada in defense, but magazine clearly lists Dorado and Ruiz as tournament final. Maybe Black Shadow was in the semifinal?

- ↑ historically listed as April 3rd 1965 but Huracan Ramirez defended the title prior to that
