CMLL World Tag Team Tournament, 2008

In early 2008, CMLL held a 16 team tournament at Arena Mexico over a three week period to determine the next team to get a shot at the CMLL World Tag Team Championship, held by Atlantis & Ultimo Guerrero.

Stuka Jr. replaced Valiente, who was announced as Rey Bucanero's partner and ended up in the second bracket instead. Sagrado was hurt in his quarterfinal match and would not have been able to continue if his team had won.
