Profile

He was the one of his family who was interested in sports. He used to play soccer a lot, but he also was a wrestling fan. His parents moved from Oaxaca to Mexico City. They lived in a neighborhood in Iztacalco, there was an arena near in the area. He and a group of kids did not afford to pay a ticket and they tried to peek into the arena. Eventually the guard who was at the door allowed them to enter at the end of the event to see the last match and they were happy eith that. He had his first approach to lucha libre at the age of 14. He was very slim and he decided to go to the gym and train in order to gain some weight. He learned that in the gym there were wrestlers training and that awoke his curiosity to train with them.

That place was Gimmasio Marin's and his first trainer was Capricornio. Other prominent trainers who attended that gym were Apache and Apache II who were the maestros who he learned most. Dragon Chino II and Olimpus contributed in his preparation as well. His debut was on April 30,1995 in an event held by the owner and promoter of the Gimnasio Marín. His first name was El Brujo in a singles match. He wrestled in the Mexico City area and Hidalgo with promotions of people such as Raúl Morita and Promociones Marín in Arena Apatlaco and Arena Tlahuac. After a year and a half he moved to New York. He trained there and learned the American style. He came back to Mexico City and showed what he learned. Changed his name to Potro Salvaje but he was asked by fellow wrestlers or fans if he was related to the first Potro Salvaje. They were no way related and in order to avoid misunderstandigs he made some changes in his mask and gears and renamed as Potro Romano. He wreslted in with Promociones Mohicano I, and Max Proad. He also wreslted in Arena San Juan Pantitlan.

After 4 years of activity, he decided to go back to New York. This time he took a recess of years. On 2009 he moved to California. One day he went to a lucha libre show and he met Martin Marin and he asked to join them to make a comeback. 2009 and 2010 were tye years that brought more satisfactions to him. He wreslted California and New York lucha libre promotions such as LLME, FMLL, and Bronco International.

He is mostly seen as rudo. Due to his height 160 cm (5'2") he was able to compete at either the minis division or the regular divisions. He wrestled in Mexico as a mini where he met Espectrito, he learned a lot from him. He also met Mascarita Sagrada and Tzuki. He liked wrestling against Octagoncito and Mascarita Dorada. He also had matches against Ricky Marvin and Virus. He is also seen in matches in regular divisions.
