Sanson & Cuatrero vacated the Arena Coliseo Tag Team Championship in February 2018 under the pretense they would be entering a tournament for the CMLL World Tag Team Championship. They actually did not enter the tournament as a team, but the titles were still vacated. A standard 16 team tournament took place on Arena Coliseo, with blocks on February 24 and March 3 and a final on March 10.
