As part of a flurry of title 1975 title changes, Fishman won the [[NWA World Welterweight Championship]] while holding the [[Mexican National Welterweight Championship]]. Fishman was required to give up the national title by rule. He quickly lost the world title in the ring to [[Blue Demon]], going from two titles to zero in a matter of months. EMLL waited a while to fill this vacancy, by which time Fishman was cleared to participate.
