The Arena Gladiador Trios Championship is a professional wrestling trios championship defended out of Arena Gladiador in Matamoros, Tamaulipas. It was introduced in 2014.
Current Champion
Los Gordos Del Mal (Espía Jr., Espíritu Maligno & Rey Supremo) are the current champions. They defeated Dinastía Azteca (Guerrero Azteca, Príncipe Azteca & Príncipe Guerrero) and Karateka Jr., Pánico & Star Kid in a three-way tournament final on July 3, 2016 in the Arena Gladiador in Matamoros, Tamaulipas to win the vacant titles.
History of Championship
On December 7, 2014 at Arena Gladiador 3rd Anniversary Show, La Familia Guerrillera (Cougar Boy, Fidel Pérez & Guerrillero Jr.) defeated Revolution Clowns (Crazy Clown, Maniac Clown & Mega Clown) to become the inaugural Arena Gladiador Trios Champions.
The championship was vacated on June 15, 2016 due to lack of defenses by former champions Revolution Clowns, who were champions by more than six months and they don't defended the title anytime. A 16-team tournament began on June 19, 2016 in order to crown the new champions.
On July 3, 2016 at Arena Gladiador, Los Gordos Del Mal (Espía Jr., Espíritu Maligno & Rey Supremo) defeat Dinastía Azteca (Guerrero Azteca, Príncipe Azteca & Príncipe Guerrero) and Karateka Jr., Pánico & Star Kid in a three-way tournament final to win the titles. Dinastía Sombra (Hijo de la Sombra, La Sombra & Sombra Jr.) were announced to take part in the match, but they didn't appeared to wrestle.
